I do voice over work using a Rode NT1-A condensor and a Shure SM7 dynamic mic. I'm thinking about a change... one that won't put me in the poor house. For you that do a lot of voice over production, what mic (S) do you use? I've been pondering the new Behringer B-1 and B-2... any one use'em?  huh

I see that this subject has been addressed in an earlier post (Earth to Clinton).  It's early and I think I've absorbed to much radiation from my monitor!

Personally, I think the Rode mics sound "head and shoulders" better than the Behringer's...

WWW

they both sound great, i own a B-1, which was bought partly due to $ constraints, but also because i think it has a lovely crisp sound, it's done wonders for my vocals thats for sure, but then again, i did use to use an sm58...

Yeah, I like Behringer too.  Low price good quality.  I might try out a B 1 or 2 and see what gives.

Yes i think Behringer are fantastic, i use my B-1 through a Behringer UB-802 for the pre-amp and it sounds very nice. Next week im gonna go out and grab one of their new tube preamps which are very cheap ($99 AUD) and sound awesome - very warm and chunky! B-1 or B-2? it really depends on your needs, the B-2 sounds lovely i just had no real use for it. good luck john! oh here is a shot of that new pre-amp, i'd recommend it to anyone.

I just ordered one of Marshall's Shanghai mics (the 57).  I couldn't resist; it IS another flavor, and for $40, how do ya argue?
