I have an interesting dilema.

I have some Direct X plugins installed. On my old version of Cool Edit 2000 they all show up. On AA 1.5 one of them shows up as "unsupported" and I cannot get AA to recognize it.

These plugins worked fine on my older computer with 1.5 but now it tells me they are unsupported.

Any clue as to how to get 1.5 to recognize a Direct X plugin? The manual says to "enable direct X" on the effects menu in edit mode..but that doesn't exist. It also says to enable direct X on the track effects setting...but that doesn't exist there either.

The reason that it doesn't exist is that the message is only there when DX effects aren't enabled - so you've already enabled them. You may need to upgrade (or even downgrade?) your DX version. Which effects specifically?

It's an older version of Steinberg Mastering Suite. It worked fine until I got a new computer and loaded AA on it. Still using XP and still using the same version of AA.

And what is funny is that CE 2000 recognizes it and everything works fine..  Just not AA.

I was wondering about loading the newest version of Direct X and seeing if that helped. I may try..
