clothesburner Location: USA Posts: 412	Posted - Thu Jan 11, 2001 5:00 pm  10 instrumental/vocal tracks make up the song I want to mix down. Is it correct to say I can adjust the volume controls of each track to keep from clipping or must I normalize each track to a lower percentage?

To begin, you should start out by bringing the master fader down to about -8db (master fader located in upper left hand section of screen, labeled 'Master' in green)Then, adjust each tracks individual volume levels. You do not have to 'normalize' each track. Once you've adjusted the individual levels to your liking, playback the entire track and monitor the combined output. If you feel that overall it is too low, increase the level from the master fader. ---Syntrillium Support _________________
