I'm trying to clean up my plugin list in CEP. There are several demo plugins from Sonic Foundry, CPX, and Third Ear Audio that I would like to remove. Does anyone know how to do this or what the exact filenames are called so I can delete them from CEP?

The first thing to try is going into your computer's Control Panel settings (Start->Settings->Control Panel) and running the Add/Remove Programs wizard. Scroll through the list and if you see the plugin that you want to remove, double click on it and follow the on screen instructions.
If you're lucky, this will do the trick - the last step is to click "Refresh This List" at the bottom of the DirectX plugins list in Cool Edit. If the plugin is still listed after refreshing, you'll need to use a special program to remove the plugin from your system. One such program is DXMan from AnalogX, download it from:
http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/audio/dxman.htm
Whatever you do, DON'T just delete the plugin files. This will stop your plugin from working properly and won't delete the entry in CE's DirectX plugin list. Plugin information is stored in your computer's registry and must be removed carefully.

The vb-audio DX manager was the only one to fully clean up my plug ins list. It's free too!
