Race Fans Hot Rodders... This sunday! Sunday! SUNDAY!
We've all heard those spots before right? Anyone know how they add that form of unique distortion to the announcers voice? I've been trying to emulate it with CEP but have'nt had much luck.. Has anyone else tried this? I've got a spot to do on a related topic and the client would really like to add that popular sfx to it..
Got any Ideas?

Some years ago there was released Nine Inch Nails CD "Pretty Hate Machine", where distortion of voice took a big role in music.
It was fascinating good work, so it triggered me to use CEP sometimes for distortion of voice to make voice more aggressive.

I don't know this trailer, so from where can it be heard or downloaded?

Ian, try going to your transform and use some echo, reverb, and some lite flanging. Experiment! You'll have to work with each word individually, maybe, to get the result you seek. The effect you seek can be accomplished with CEP.

I always use the Stretch function to lower the pitch, but keep the time the same. You'll want to check "Preserves Tempo" and use High Precision. After you've made yourself fairly 'demonic' sounding, try using Chief's idea of applying a little flange to it....Voila!

Thanx... I'll give those ideas a shot. I had tried using pitch bender, flange and filters but could'nt get that crispy crunchy sound they've made famous. Maybe I'm too critical. Crunching and bending word for word may work better. I'll let ya'll know what happens..
