I have recently loaded a couple of plug-ins that I do not want to keep. I deleted them from my program files, but they still appear in the dierectX menu inside of cooledit pro. Does anybody know how to get rid of these? I use a lot of plug-ins and only want to keep the ones that I like in the menu. Thanks

If you've "un-installed" them, shouldn't they disappear when you "refresh this list"?

Some plug ins just don't want to go away! There is a program called DXMan.... freeware from AnalogX and another called DX-uninstaller... written by V. Burel, 1999, also freeware.... either should do the job if refreshing the list doesn't work.... they also work in other programs which supposedly auto refresh. A web search should give the addresses where to download them.

The V Burel DX uninstaller worked really well for me.

I ran into the same problem, but it went one step furthe.. when i went to the "refresh" command, my machine went blue screen for a minute, and CE shut down.. went thru this a few times before everything levelled out again.. really weird
