Hi!

I bought CEP 2.0 about 1/2 year ago and LOVE it!.
One problem I do have is one that was addressed right after CEP 2.0 was released.

Running on Win 2000 Pro, DirectX 8.1, state of the art machine, enough memory, hard disk, graph,....
I get an internal error right after startup plus a crash.
Do not even get into the program.

The remedy that was suggested when I last posted this problem was: rename DirectX.xfm to DirextX(xfm).old .

I did that and yes CEP runs but without DirectX plugin possiblities.

I wonder if a real solution to this problem has been found yet. Iīve been back to check on a patch, but havenīt seen one on the site.

Anybody out there knows anything more.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Bytheway: did record my first CD with CEP !
Check it out if you like: www.bluemat.net

tech serv is aware of the problem, which is a 'system' problem not specifically a CE problem . . . my guess, which synt has never confirmed, is that this condition is derived from registry conflicts.

But for any specific help with your system you're going to have to contact tech serv directly

good luck
