I'm new to CEP 2.0 and I edit a church program for radio. One thing I can't figure out is how to lower the volume of a track for a voice? I now just select the part of the track to lower and do it but, the volume is sudden and I would like a smooth fade to a lower volume. What is the best way to do this.
Thanks,
Robards

Use the Volume Envelopes in the Multi-Track View. Check in the "help files" for the same.

You can do this with the volume envelopes in multitrack view. If you look at the upper-right corner on your screen, you'll see a button with a line w/some little white boxes on it. Make sure it is pushed in, along with the button with the "R/L" on it. Now there should be a green line across the top of your wave block. Click on the line and drag the line down to lower the volume. You can draw the volume up and down along the wave by using several of these points (they look like small white boxes). If you need to remove any of these points, simply click on the box and drag it up or down off the wave block. Play around with this a little bit, and you'll get the hang of it.

Funny how threads come in threes like busses (oops, buses). There's a couple of other volume / fade related threads running at the moment where further tips and tricks can be found.

Sometimes, it makes one wonder if maybe it's not the same individual with an "alter" ego.
