Slow day on the Plug-in board, eh?
I heard from my T-RackS support guy, he's pretty responsive when I email him directly. No problems with the support guys...
There is no fix yet.
The rest of this is my rant:
This is a day 1 problem I reported to them the split second it crashed CEP on May 4 2003 10:30 pm. I can't believe that this bug would not have been seen in development. If it wasn't seen then you have the case of not testing your product properly and hoping for the best. That's no good folks.
They're doing new development on something else right now and all the resources have been pulled off of T-RackS apparantly leaving no one for bugs in the field. This is a really bad business practice that customers watch.
So would I say not to buy this thing and start swearing at them?
Not really I don't swear too much, also it's one of the better mastering compressors I have, the mastering limiter and EQ are very good too. Unfortunately some development VP got in over their head trying to balance the pressures of sustaining vs new product development and made a wrong turn. It's a tough world out there I know it for a fact...just don't charge me for a working product that is really beta. :(
So when they release the DX/VST fix then consider buying it, when you see I've stopped whining then you'll know it's really fixed and tested (on my configuration at least!). The power of the consumer! A service free of charge for my Cool Edit forum chums :)
