Is there a plugin that will make it sound like a person is changing from one radio station to another?

Sounds like something you should record. You mean like the beginning of the last track of 'Wish You Were Here'?

yeah, that's exactly the sound i'm looking for. I'll just try recording a radio and then insert my own tracks

I suspect someone on this forum will tell us exactly how Pink Floyd got that sound - maybe they too simply twiddled the dial. Personally, I'd dial-twiddle for ten minutes, then edit out the boring bits and keep the good sections, cutting it down to the required length.

Incidentally, I believe the track you are referring to is "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Part 2), on the Wish you Were Here album. However, I can't remember anything like that on that particualr track. There IS however, something like that on the penultimate track, which IS Wish You Were Here.
