Warning - blatant commercial shill for which I've gotten nothing.

Holy Crimping Tool they've done it again!

I just got an email from iZotope, the company that puts out Ozone and Vinyl (both of which are among the very few 3rd party plugins I actually use) and Trash. They've got something new out called Spectron ... and after playing with the presets for a couple of minutes, I gotta say it may be the best they've ever done!

I've only used it on a voice track in demo mode, but it's kinda like the best of the Sci-Fi Deluxe plugin after it had been cross bred with something like PiWarp. If you like the Star Wars robot-y kind of things, this is worth the while to download and look at.

Plus only $49 till the end of July.

End blatant commercial shill. Though it really is good.

Everything izotope does seems to hold a high standard! But that robot stuff won't be anything for me, hehe:D

That's kind of what I was thinkin since I'm working more at the post production side at the present.

But then I'm also wondering, Craig, is this anything we might hear on the internet feed ? I went over to your station and, haven't tried it yet but it looks like I could listen.

Craig,

Please in the future if you have any blatant commercial shill... Could you email it to me directly... Hit the site, heard the demos... I'm buyingt the thing! Hell yea I can use it!

Just email em right to me... Holly Sandwich Maker, the guys over there... the other stations... owned by other companies... might abuse such powers.

T

Spectron uses a spectral engine to split audio into thousands of frequency bands, apply effects independently to each band, and resynthesize the audio to create entirely new sounds.

It can filter signals, but unlike an EQ it has the unique ability to morph, modulate and harmonically filter sounds.

...I had to go over there and look!Tongue
...Downloading...

current Ozone owners get it at $49...DirectX...don't leave Production without it !:D

Thanks Craig!

Hi All,

Just wanted to jump in. Spectron is definitely an esoteric sound-design sort of thing - we had an urge to do something different. I love what it does to drums and vocals, but that's just me :-)

Always available for feedback or to chat at erik@izotope.com.

Cheers,
Erik
