Blending 3 audio files 2 min...1 min...1/2 min....
Get them just like I want in Studio mode...ie; L-R channels;
2 min LEFT; the other two RIGHT channel. They all play together real nice....
[ music in background while voice overlaps loudly.]

NOW I'm stuck...
I can't figure out HOW to SAVE/RECORD them into a WAV or MP3 file.
All I get is a [*.ses] file...?!?!
Now what ?!?!
Have spent hours digging here and the tutorials and help file ....all to no avail....
I gotta be missing something....sigh

SOMEONE....lead me by the hand [gently]
thanks
Sam

Sounds like you need to read up on Edit > Mixdown commands.

Samdog,

Starting in the multitrack view, to save it as a multitrack session:

1. Go to file, click "save session as"
2. In the window that comes up, click the box that says "save associated files"
3. Name session and save it
4. You'll be prompted to save the first of your wav files
5. At that point, you can scroll down and choose whether you want to save it as wav or mp3, or several others.
6. It'll prompt you to name and save each of your files after that

In any multitrack session, you have two types of files to save: the session file, which is a little file that tells the multritrack program what to do and the actual wave files. In EDIT VIEW you only have one kind of file to save, the wave files.

To save a session as a stereo mixdown:

Still in Multitrack view:
1. Go to Edit
2. Click "mixdown to file"
3. You'll get a box asking if you want to mix down to, all waves, or just selected waves. Hit "all waves."

4. A stereo wave will be created, (and it will now be displayed in Edit View, instead of multitrack view).
5. Go to File and click "save session as"
6. Now you can name your mixdown and select what format you wanted it saved in, such as wav, which is the programs default, or you can choose another format, such as MP3.

Hope this helps you get started,

Boyd

Thanks for your help. That got me going.
Had to paste your 'help' onto a 'doc' until I finally got it burned into my one brain cell.
