When I load a file into CEP it immediately begins playback, even though I haven't pressed a button. I don't want that! I looked "everywhere" in CEP but couldn't find the right square to tick or untick. Any help, please?

On the menu which appears when you click on File|Open, there is a box marked 'Autoplay' - it that checked? If so, uncheck it.

Also, depending on how you load the file into CEP, there's an option that might be causing this. From the 'Options' menu, select 'Settings'. In the 'General' tab, there's an option called "Auto-play on command line load". That might be causing the behavior.
