I am trying to record audio from other on-board applications Re: Playback from Fruity Loops (music loop creating software)and recording onto CEP. I have a Yamaha DS2416 sound duplex capable soundcard.
Thanks

If your playing back a MIDI file, you'll have to render it to a .wav file for CEP to work it. You could connect the output of the card to the input and play the file and capture it as a .wav that way. Other than that... I'm stumped!

You might want to check out software called Virtual Audio Cable. It can be used as an output for sound, and then used as recording device in CEP.

Depends on the mixer of your soundcard. If you set the record side of the mixer to the source that you are using for playback, it should be recordable in CE. Works that way with Creative cards, anyway. See "Setting the Windows Mixer" on the tips and tricks forum here for more details.

Fruity loops has an export-to-wav feature. I use it all the time, and it's quite good. It even supports 32 bit. Once you have the wav file, just load it into cool and do what you gotta do.
