Hi all...I just got CE a few days back...so a newbie to the software.

Ok...I've tried doing some recording with the software. So, plugged in the mic to 'mic in', take my guitar, started strumming and recording the audio straight in the pc when in multitrack mode.

Then...i select track 2, played a different thing totally while recording

But what i found out was, track 2 also recorded sounds from track 1. It's already mixed. That puzzles me. Did i miss out anything?

So how can i make sure that when i record anything, i could record audio as individual sounds in individual tracks and not get mixed.
How can i record a bass line(for track 2)while listening to the rythm parts of the guitar (in track 1) separately?

I think it's a cool software...so help me out ya. Thanks

All you need to do is have a quick look in the "tips and tricks" forum, and look for a post on "setting the Windows mixer".
