Thanks to the great people at Syntrillium there is a fix if you were having problems with iZotope Vinyl or some other DirectX plug-ins.. You need the Cool Edit Pro 1.2a update. You can get it at:

(note - You must have your original retail Cool Edit Pro CD disc and valid serial number to perform this update)
If you don't have iZotope Vinyl, you can get your lo-fi vinyl fix here:

Because you can't put a price on nostalgia, iZotope Vinyl is free :-)
