Does anyone know a program(freeware prefered) that will play stereo 24/96 files? I just found out that Windows Media Player will not support 24bit files. I would like to be able to install a player on other computers and then play my CEP 24/96 Mixdowns.

I would imagine that the problem would not only be finding a (free) app that supports 24-bit files, but also a machine (clearly, one not meant for digital audio production) that would have a soundcard (that would have been separately purchased) that could handle true 96k!! Consumer, 'stock' sound cards do not support 96k...no way.
If someone's got a machine with a soundcard that can do 96k, they've got playback software that can handle it. WaveMapper is not going to cut it (if you really want to take advantage of 96k) so you're better off converting to 44.1/16 and saving yourself the trouble.

Okay that makes sense. My other problem is this: I have a DAL Card Deluxe and If I use WinMP 7.1 and set it to Digital for CD playing, I have a real sweet sounding CD player. Problem is, WinMP 7.1 is a buggy resource hog. Is there a (Freeware prefered) CD player program that gives a digital out option for CD playing? Thanks in advance.
