I am useing ce2k and when I am record a trak longer than 8 min ( ca. 8:02min ) it lock my pc fore some minutes (3-10min.) why? I have seen it at other pc to and do not know what to do. pleas help me, what shall i do ?????
Sorry my English is so bad, I am from Denmark, a little cruntry in Scandinavia.

Hi SMH. I would probably recommend emailing support directly, as they can provide you with a list of suggestions/optimizations for your system. Be sure to include as much system information as possible (ie, CPU, speed, RAM, version of CE2K, soundcard, version of Windows, etc)

Thangs fore the idea, i think i will do that. I have heard it is a problem meny people/radio
have so ther may hopefully be a sulution.

You may also want to try a Search for "8 minutes". This problem has been out there a while, but it only affects some folks and not others, and appears to be OS independent. So far there appears to be no definitive solution, but software reinstallation is usually one of the first steps.
I am not sure why we see similar problems reported on CoolEdit 2000 as we do on CoolEdit Pro; probably there is some common underlying design shared amongst all the various products. Not a help to you, I know, but at least you are not alone.
