Is it possible to automate DirectX plugin parameters in CEP2?
I figured out how to automate some CEP2 native effects, but I can't figure out how to do it for DirectX plugins. I'm currently evaluating the demo of CEP2 and this functionality is of critical importance.
Also, what does the "poll for property updates" check box do in the bottom left hand corner of all DirectX plugins in the FX rack?
thanks,
Andy

I'm just trying to find the answer to this too. I keep seeing that check box but there's nothing in the help files or manual that I can find.
Cheers.
James.

As far I know you cannot automate third party DX plugins within CEP....You can always get another opinion

The conclusion I came to in the end was that it simply isn't possible - only a small handful of the internal plugins can be automated.
Plugin automation is very important for me, so I bought Logic Audio instead ;-).

Okay, it's not ideal, but if you make sure that your effect is saved as a preset within your DX plugin, and you use the 'Show Dialog' option in 'Edit favourites', then you get to be able to select your preset. That's the best I can come up with. Yes, I know it's not quite what you want...
