Master Po,
Do not think a question silly. For in seeking the answer, one might stumble upon truth and wisdom.... Grasshopper

I didn't know that you can actually convert a VST plugin to DX - I know about wrappers, but you have to load the wrapper as a DX plugin, then load the VST plugin into the wrapper. I don't think that you'd ever get a VST plugin showing up directly on the Cool Edit DX plugin list - or am I ignorant?

I don't think he meant 'convert' - I tread it as using a wrapper for the job.

I use the SpinAudio wrapper and this shows up on the DX list as 'VST' with a sub-menu listing all the VST plug-ins which I have loaded.

I'm thinking the same thing, Oz.

He (or she) may know more than any of us think - but that's entirely beside the point. Besides, I read Master Po's haikus as being somewhat comical and mostly benevolent.
The main thing is:
Don't lose sight of the fact that version 2.0 has not yet had even an update patch released for it - and also, the fact that they can't ignore the multitudes of complaints about DX handing found in this version.
I think we're going to have to be patient, or find another way to work - at least for now.
;)
Best... -Jon

Ah. I'm using the free version. Maybe I should fork out for the real thing.

Yeah, I think there are a couple of members around with secret identities (sometimes, more than one...), and some that truly are enigmatic, not blatantly obvious like others. Oops. BTW, I believe that the Master was implying that his own question might be a silly one.
BTW-2, I think that most people understand that the end of a sentence has occurred after one period.

Correct me if I'm wrong - and I'm sure someone will - but with the Lite (free) version of the Spin Audio wrapper, you have to load the wrapper then to and find the VST plugins .dll file to load that. You can use as many different VST plugins as you want but you have to load them individually each time you use one. The Demo version (also free) allows you to create shortcuts to the VST .dll skipping all the in between crap. So if you use it a lot, yes you should spring for the real version.
