IzoTope's OZONE has a nice multiband exciter; you can also do more classic 'stereo exciter' effects with the BBE Sonic Maximizer, both of which are available as DX plugins.

This is true. Although for $1300 you get alot more than just the L1. To each his/her own. If your "working for hire" it can be considered an investment. If your an registered company.... a portion is tax deductable! Wink

The RGC Audio plugins don't work in CEP2 - or has someone fixed that?

Take a look at the new Hyperprism 2.5 ,i think it has an Harmonic exciter http://www.arboretum.com/products/plugins/hyp_dx.html

I believe that you get a sort of exciter effect by pitch-shifting the track up an octave, and mixing a little bit in to the original track.
