This link just reported at the Adobe forums:  (Link removed by poster because Amazon UK has apparently killed it -- 1/12/05.)

Nothing on USA Amazon site yet... UK site (assuming it's legit... sure appears so) has full and upgrade pricing, available mid-January.   Here's one feature I'm sure will get your attention:

ASIO, VST, DirectX, and ReWire support: easily integrate Adobe Audition 2.0 into your workflow, thanks to broad support for industry formats and standards, including ASIO, VST, DirectX, and ReWire

Its about time they release a new version...

So 2.0 will have ASIO support (finally), but looks like no direct MIDI/VSTi support, and it doesn't seem to say if it has realtime input monitoring with effects, either.

Will be very interesting to see all the new features it has when it comes out...

So what's new, I wonder.  Okay, they mention ASIO, but gosh, that was so much of a "must be in there" that it almost doesn't qualify as a new feature.  Mastering Rack?  Sounds interesting. But anything else? Should be more news in the pipeline, eh.

Yeah, I notice ASIO and automation for hardware controllers. Could that really be it?

Must be more that's not mentioned. After all, a lot of the features that are already there weren't mentioned in that ad either.

Hell's Bells - seems to have all the things people have been asking for.  Even scrubbing, which I thought was long dead Smiley .

I can't say I'm overly impressed by the upgrade price - £100 is about €150 - when it's advertised in the USA for some £45 (see http://www.provantage.com/adobe-systems-licenses-09945944h9~7EMRI5XM.htm ).  I guess we'll have to wait and see if it's the same price for the rest of Europe.

SteveG, since I am sure you are 'in the know' - can you say which hardware controllers are supported?

Your link is to Government volume licencing for a two year period - no evident link to a normal licence and no evident connection with whatever new version may be on its way - unless I'm misreading it altogether.

All that is known is that Amazon and sundry other sites have been mentioning a variety of dates (for some time, un-noticed on the forums!) - other than that, there has been no announcement from Adobe and until there is, we don't know - and anyone who does know won't tell.

If an Adobe announcement comes in due course, anyone who knows anything more than what is announced still won't tell.

And when any new version is physically available, then we'll all finally know what it actually amounts to.

But will the live inputs allow for DSP processing with effects?  Hopefully.

If so,
